Qualtrics

Qualtrics is an online survey software with a free account available as well as paid plans. The free plan is good to let you learn how it all works and create one custom survey. The survey types possible can be very simple or complex. You can create dynamic forms which utilize conditional logic branches which will switch questions based on the details provided by the person taking the survey. The user interface is clean and relatively straightforward to use but it's quite plain. Clearly not a functionality issue but there is an argument to be made for a stylish UI and enhanced productivity in my opinion. Complicated surveys can be made easily as the software reminds you of what steps to take in order to create certain aspects of complexity you require as you're creating it. That's a very helpful feature. With the paid plans you can utilize a database with over two hundred pre-made surveys in twenty six categories which is always big time saver. Qualtrics is an older company by internet standards they have been around a long time. They've carved a great niche in that their target audience are businesses with more than three hundred employees. The software seems very refined like it's been through the test and is what works well. By many accounts it's a very reliable software if you have a large employee user base as a lot of five star reviews online attest to.

The Lite plan is $299 per month and seems severely limited in terms of survey responses limited to three hundred and emails sent to one thousand per month. This seems super low when the main competition offer unlimited for a tenth the price. If you need more than 300 responses to your survey you must contact their sales team to learn exact pricing your team but it is a yearly and per user only which is good. Starting at $2500 per user, per year I've read but that may no longer be current. It seems odd to me to see a pre-made Video Rental template in the database. I suppose there is a very small niche market for video rental still perhaps, but beyond this from someone who has streamed video online for several years it simply seems very outdated and makes me wonder how that correlates to the company and it's leadership overall. This is speculative at best I understand, but this was my first impression of the company and it's survey software.

From a business standpoint you can only respect a company that has been around long enough to become an authority offering digital surveys online for employees in mid-size to enterprise size businesses. Because at the prices they charge for survey software as a service and have for a long time it's got to be incredibly profitable, so congratulations to them. Qualtrics is a very solid survey tool although Survey Monkey beats it in almost every way in terms of flexibility and price.
