Planview Enterprise

Plainview is a very functional tool. It's easy to set up a project using Planview and assign tasks to the members of your team, also tracking the time they work on the project. In my opinion, the Resource Assignment Manager screen is the best feature about Plainview which allows you to get a quick review of your colleagues' work on a project.

The implementation of Plainview took quite a time. Besides, the system is not very intuitive, I'm afraid, and the learning curve was actually longer than we planned. Some of our users do not use the system regularly, so there is a lot of re-training needed, especially when some new features are being added.

I think overall Plainview is a good tool for project management, with its pros and cons naturally. It helps you get all the necessary data into one place, store documents, perform different project activities, assign tasks, control time spent by the employees on different projects, fulfil the billing. You can easily view previous work weeks and compare them with regard to the spent expenses or the amount of work done and time spent on the task. The system is rich in its functionality, but if you are only using it for tracking time, it may not be the best option. However, if you are using Planview more broadly, to its full functionality, then it can be very helpful.
