Pilot Fish is a company which specializes doing just search engine optimization. I believe you can tell they have been around a long time just by their website which certainly complies with older standards though it seems perfectly functional so that's fine. There is a decent educational trail of pages in which you can learn their process. This company does show up on the page of Google for a local keyword I used to search for their company 'akron seo' which is a good sign indicating they practice what they do for their own business.

To be honest there is not complete transparency available upfront in terms of case studies with verifiable measurable results. There is a testimonial page with no actual testimonials that I could see. And the two case studies have no statistics of any kind to back up their results. That's a red flag in my book but I was willing to listen to their pitch to learn more. Though they have declined my offer for search engine optimization services stating they specialize in B2B lead generation. Though I did mention we are both B2B and B2C with several marquee clients currently such as Coca Cola, Harley Davidson, Guess, Rolex, Bentley and several more so that is somewhat curious to not even attempt to have a conversation to learn more about this B2B aspect of our business. With a quote request for a guesstimated budget of one thousand to fifteen hundred dollars this is curious though there isn't a ton of traffic which is okay, then suggest an alternative marketing channel or approach. Offer something of value besides a straight up decline and this review may not be as wordy, in my opinion.

There is no guarantee offered by this company and while I can understand nobody can theoretically offer something that only Google controls, there is a guarantee possible which if you're a confident SEO company which is page one within six months or it's free until they do but this isn't an option here. There are a couple of case studies but they have no verifiable metrics nor proof of rankings. There are a couple of client testimonials but they make no mention of rankings as results of their B2B SEO campaigns. You can also tell this company does not get a lot of traffic if Alexa is accurate so they may not rely on SEO for their own business. And to be honest I have never heard of a company which focuses only on B2B which is interesting. There is not a lot on the website to explain why this is other than an analogy to SEO being like an tradeshow in which the busiest companies have booths near the front of the it in order to obtain the most traffic which similar to ranking on the first page of search engines. Other than that, it appears to be only a hook which helps sell a certain target demographic which is fine though I suppose a company with B2B clients and B2C clients is out of the question. Why? They didn't tell me other than it's B2B only. No worries. Good luck with your SEO business!
