Oracle WebCenter Content

This software is an Oracle product and fully integrates with other Oracle platforms, as it is meant to organize content development management, and contains framework for core document management, branded presentation and so on. The platform provides a functional self-service portal with great content deliver. The WebCenter Content is specifically targeted at industry users and larger organizations, and is Oracle’s key effort at integrating their core content management submissions with other e- business suite.

I had issues with the user interface due to its dated nature and it is not quite configurable especially when the custom module development is lacking. I am actually hoping that the improvements which the software vendors promised have all been carried through. Another issue I discovered is that whatever data transfer tasks is being carried out, the user normally should require some sort of custom Java development and this makes it burdensome.

The WebCenter platform brings together a completely balanced content management environment designed to enhance an effective teamwork setting, while its record management module is exceptionally efficient. However, I like that the platform comes with very strong but easy access control and security, with its value proposition being robust content repository.
