There are two main areas to love: the analytical features that remind me a bit of Google Analytics (so you can imagine the interface is extremely easy) and the modular programming manager. Overall Ooyala is unique platform but it stands out with straightforward functions. Just 4 steps: analyze, manage, monetize, publish and that's it.

The main weakness when compared to other such solutions would probably be the small emphasis on social media sharing as they are concentrated more on their own networks, rather than sharing the content on wide audiences and allowing you to for example enrich your blog by sharing hosted content there. You can create a widget/app though which is pretty much a substitute for that.

Ooyala is one of the most outstanding solutions thanks to their unique platform which provides immense quality even for broadcasters - it's not just a fancy gadget but an actual management platform for professionals. Though utterly amazing and feature-packed, it's not too difficult to manage and even not so tech-savvy users can get handy without much trouble.
