Nuxeo

Nuxeo is by far the best one out there thanks to its’ seamless intuitive interface and platform that can be extended by different plugins and extensions. Flexible asset sharing, metadata management, usage tracking (the reporting features Nuxeo have are divine!), filtered search and so much more make it for an excellent tool. As it allows assigning access levels to different users you can easily determine what they can or cannot see – especially effective for bigger teams as we found it very useful for us.

There is not much I can say about flaws to Nuxeo as I thoroughly enjoyed using it. However, it would be helpful if there would be the option to maintain different versions with different configurations for different environments as it would tweak up the flexibility even more. Moreover, it would be nice interface-wise to have thumbnails on folder levels.

If you are running a bigger team and are thinking of simplifying content management (especially useful for designers thanks to Nuxeo’s custom UI), then this is definitely the tool for you. Allowing to determine access levels for different users, while having extensive capabilities, this tool can do it all. For us it has proven times and times again to be extremely reliable and useful tool and therefore I can see it assisting any medium or bigger enterprise in need for managing digital content.
