What was the best part about using NetSuite OpenAir?
I must say, this application mostly meets my requirements. Now, I am able to do: time tracking, expense tracking, resource management, deliverable management, invoices, project costs, reporting. I find I depend on OpenAir – I can’t run my business without it. It is very flexible for configuring. Very useful feature is that more than one department can use it the same time. I make schedules for reporting, I consider it helpful a lot.
What would you change about your experience with NetSuite OpenAir?
If you have no experience or just a little, it can be confusing. The reason for that is multiple ways to do the same task. Sometimes, when I want detailed report I have to run multiple reports instead. In addition, report view is not so good implemented. I must to export report to Excel just to view. I would rather to see from solution. Scheduling options could be improved. Resource Management module has no connection between a booking and a project task assignment. On top of all, timesheet entries for week are all connected. I have issues with projects when I want them separately. I have also bumped into difficulty to generate invoices directly. Powerpoint screenshots are not the option which I really consider useful. Customer support is also quite slow and the technicians are not so professional. There are a lot of weak points.
Overall Feedback
I’ve solved some issues I couldn’t until now. If you considering to use OpenAir you should think of full-time administrator. He must provide support, training and documentation. Of course, it depends on how big is your company and your needs. In my case, I am something between. I am neither satisfied not either. You must make a pro and contra list and then make a decision. From my experience it isn’t oriented for bigger amount of reporting and time recording.
