Mixpanel

MixPanel is awesome not only because they have transparent pricing and a great free plan but because it's an advanced platform that is easy to use. There's a little work up front but after you have done this once it's like riding a bike. And it's no more difficult than installing Wordpress manually. It's even easier. The dashboard is very intuitive to learn and easy to move around. I really appreciate the help videos available as you initially get to know the software. This has been a great help allowing me to take the bulk of the learning curve within an hour and move forward with confidence to start getting our events tracked in virtually unlimited ways. The analytics are world class and highly configurable but you don't have to know in depth code in order to use it. It's helpful to have a basic understanding but even if you don't you can literally still install it yourself within a day learning everything you need from their resources and from Youtube and Google searches. It's that easy which is great because you have a lot of configuration possibilities. You are not relying on third party plugins and add-ons to be able to embed your analytics such as Google Analytics. Google Analytics is great but you must find a working Wordpress plugin to get the best use of it and they range in quality and long term management. With MixPanel you're more in control because you're removing the third party and working with the code and you're not limited to their definitions of tracking. Yet you do not have to write coding directly. While you're able to integrate content management systems such as these as well, no problem.

If you're not technically savvy at all there will seem like a steep learning curve because all of the elements will be foreign. But having researched several business intelligence and analytics platforms as a service recently MixPanel has the most capabilities with the least amount of work. It's not the easiest way overall to get analytics on your website. But it's the easiest way to get this much control with your analytics and business intelligence and scale it up in a cost effective way compared to other similar enterprise class analytics PAAS. Including Google Analytics with their premium paid service. This is that level with a scalable cost from a free starting point which is fair enough. You don't have to take a huge jump into enterprise level pricing from free. But there is an initial learning curve and if you're familiar with HTML and CSS, or have installed Wordpress manually or an SSL certificate on your website it's not any more complicated than this. Making it a truly powerful integration for a low cost. You could hire help quite inexpensively to get this setup. Probably well under one hundred dollars by my best guess.

MixPanel is a terrific online analytics software we've installed for our project to learn user behavior while cross verifying it with Google Analytics. Most of the dislikes above are actually positive and overall there is very little negative to say about such outstanding free value offered to customers. And I appreciate the inclusive pricing in terms of their core functionality across all of their plans. With the only difference in the upgrades being the amount of data points you're scaling up with. Which is great news because that means you have highly configurable analytics you can truly grow your app or website with for the long term, and not have to jump into a massive enterprise level pricing plan. This company makes their customers experience their priority which is clearly the case by their pricing model and inclusive features.
