Microsoft OneDrive for Business

The first advantage is obviously the ability to store your files in a secure location and being able to assess them anytime with any device; as long as you have an internet connection. Microsoft is also very generous with the amount of space allowed to users depending on your Account status. With an Office 365 account you can get up to 1TB of free storage. The integration with windows Explorer and the Office suite is seamless and efficient. It is also pretty easy to share documents and collaborate with other users. You can work at a document with another user at the same time. Users who opt to store their phone photos on the cloud can tweek the settings to enable Drive to upload files automatically.

One drive does offer a lot of space compared to other services out there. That said; there is a limitation of 5000 items. Another thing thing is the file naming system used by One drive. Particularly when uploading batch files you will need to rename a lot of the files manually. This is a time consuming process when dealing with multiple files. Another issue I have found is the slow syncing times. It is not as fast as it should be. Sometimes the program will sync the wrong files. Sometimes files get overwritten when to or more people are working on the same document. There are also issues with MAc users, this is due to limited support and functionality.

If you are using other Microsoft products I would highly recommend this product. With the amount of free storage available being so generous I personally find it is economical and efficient to use Onedrive despite the sync and functional issues highlighted above. In summary the Onedrive is a smooth and easy way to share and store large files and it is practically free.
