What was the best part about using McGraw-Hill Connect?
It has been said that connect helps students learn. It may for some students, but not everyone
What would you change about your experience with McGraw-Hill Connect?
I would do away with it entirely, or at least make it optional for students, rather than a mandatory $90 add on that does nothing but frustrate students
Overall Feedback
I hate this software. Its not engaging, its not helpful, for me at least, it can easily be done on pen and paper, and it has more problems than it has benefits. Its e-textbook is chaotic and unhelpful, not helping to teach you in any way. Then there's getting onto the software itself, which is just so incredibly frustrating. First, it forces you to buy a new copy of the book, because only new books will have the code you need to use the thing. Next it charges you an extra $50 for the code along with the textbook. Then, when you try the code out, you learn that the thing is a dud, and does not work, and since the thing is not returnable or transferable after you open the code, which you need to do in order to find out its a dud, you are then stuck with a waste of money and the vague hope that someone at tech support, which is awful, I might add, might help you, or get you a replacement. You can always buy the online code right? No issue? Just buy the code you already bought for $90 just because the company gave you a faulty code. Nothing wrong there whatsoever! If anyone who reads this happens to be a teacher, if you must use an online software like this, please don't use connect.
