McGraw-Hill Connect

I like not having to carry my book around... however this ebook is incredibly obnoxious with all of the flashing and pop up features while reading. Its hard to find anything positive about that. The point of a book is to read, if the platform has too many pop ups and flashing things it negates the only positive thing I have to say.

Most things. the pop up tutor is distracting. If you are taking notes, it keeps flashing to "Practice" "Looks like you have been reading a while. Why don't you practice?". I think to my self, yes I am trying to take notes, but you keep flashing a blue light in the corner of the window distracting me from reading and this tutor keeps popping up and distracting me. The pre highlighted portions are pointless as it's just another think to accidentally click and blur the text once again, distracting me from reading. My teacher said to ignoramus's the pre highlighted portions, it's hard when an accidental tap on the track pad blurs what I was reading forcing me to find where the curser is and tap again. Heaven forbid you click on the "practice tab" if you want to back out because it asks 48 questions even though you are only on the first page of the chapter, the book will never load again. I always have to back out and reload the entire page. This book is a disaster. I wish I could just buy the platform and have a choice of print copy or ebook as this ebook is literally the most obnoxious and time consuming ebook I have ever had, and I really do love ebooks actually. Just not this one. Maybe just make the option of a simple ebook with only highlighting and book marking features. Stop trying to shove your methods of comprehension down peoples throats.

Too bad students are forced to buy the ebook and Connect in one package because it is a waste of money having to put up with all the pointless features in the ebook. I just want to read, I don't care if it's an ebook, I just don't want all these pop up, flashing and distracting things all around where I am reading. I feel like I am on social media with all the distracting things everywhere in this book.
