LMS King

Our IT department has had significantly fewer issues since we have moved our online classes over to the LMS King platform which has enabled us to spend our time improving network infrastructure and placing more hardware around the school. This has led to more time for students to access computers and a better overall learning environment.

I will admit that it took some time for our staff to get used to using this over the online hosted service we had been using for the past five years. However, King provides some great resources and are quite responsive if you reach out to them.

Our school decided to use LMS King when we had major issues the previous year with test taking and ensuring our students were able to take tests and learn both on the premises and off. The online service we were using was riddled with bugs and had outages that would cost us hours of time in-class. We eventually resorted to doing most tests on paper which completely defeats the entire purpose in investing into online services. We courted a few different LMS platforms out there, but LMS King was able to convince us to give it a shot. While it took a lot of time from our staff to move things over, it was a night and day difference. The amount of control they give over courses and the fact that we are able to self-host it means that we control the up-time. We don't have to rely on a third-party to keep things up and running and this has led to a better experience for our IT staff, our teaching staff, and for our students and their parents and guardians.
