Khan Academy

I like that Khan Academy is absolutely free to use and you don’t even require an account to browse through the courses. You can start your learning straight away, you can start at the very basic and work your way to advanced level. The videos are short so even people with very busy schedule can find time to watch them and learn. Every subject has got an assessment associated with it which you need to pass and the standards for the assessment are very high.

One small issue is that sometimes it keeps adding to or saying that I have not completed some specific skill, a skill item remains in incomplete status even when I complete all the questions. I don't know the reason as I'm sure I have done the entire set of questions but still it shows it is not complete. Repetition is key, so I'm not very frustrated and can live with it.

Khan Academy is a good place to develop missing skills, strengthen existing or encourage continued learning. It offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. It offers more than 3000 videos on different topics and the videos are very easy to understand. Duration of each video is not m ore than 10 minutes which is quite convenient. Khan Academy is very good for self-learning, as you can search the relevant material for the topic of your interest. It takes the gradual release approach by beginning with an introduction video, showing an example from start of finish, having the student practice, offering assistance if needed, followed by the assessment.
