Join.me is an online video conferencing software available to use freely for up to ten attendees. This is great free value I appreciate any company offering the general public though it's part of a sales funnel to their paid plans which can host up to fifty or two hundred and fifty attendees. With several other features tiered accordingly based on your plan. In any case it's cool to be able to host a meeting, or give a presentation, or complete training with people around the world on video and in real time while listening in. It simply wasn't possible until a few years ago when you think about it how easy it is to take this fact for granted. So thanks Join.me for the free value which helps me to connect with friends and family and colleagues much easier than before even though you have an agenda for this traffic to pay to upgrade but that's your prerogative and it's smart business. You can use phone numbers from over forty countries which is good when you're hosting internationally and want to share a localized phone number as your invite to meeting attendees. I'm in Canada and it auto-populated my account with a local number upon completing my first scheduled meeting. I logged into my account and setup my first meeting within two minutes. The dashboard is very clean and well laid out. It's very intuitive to use and all worked seamlessly and quickly. A good sign that the video software is built on solid infrastructure. There are a number of large businesses which are using Join.me which helps the reputation of their brand on the surface. I have yet to utilize this for anything more than a one on meeting but it worked nicely so far in my experience. I like a lot of other features such as screen sharing, recording in the premium account, switching presenters, easy mobile access across all devices online. You can access meetings in different ways too which I think is cool. Attendees can choose to use a phone line, voip line or see video if those are the varied choices you're offering for meeting access. You can also utilize a text chat feature and quickly share files. Meeting scheduling is possible through Gmail and Outlook. I've installed the Chrome extension and scheduled my first meeting from Gmail which was also super easy to do. You can also add or remove participants. I thought this would useful for worst case scenarios such as someone being in the meeting that does not have permission, or is acting unprofessionally.

It doesn't state whether HD audio and video is available with any of their plans including Enterprise. So I would assume it does not until learning otherwise and while I understand that for the free plan certainly it wouldn't be my choice for hosting professional meetings. I simply think HD audio and video is a small yet significant touch that goes a long way with the right person who watches that training one day, for whatever reason it appeals through it's quality and professionalism. It's not a direct sales tool unless you are using SalesForce and the premium paid plan. And to limit integration to just the SalesForce CRM is to me a huge lack in this area. There are so many great CRM's available this limits their market even if SalesForce is the authority. In my opinion the SalesForce CRM is not even close to the best available in a number of ways.

The pricing of Join.me is great as a free tool. As a paid tool it's still very affordable at $20 or $25 per month, per user. But if I am going to pay anything because it's for business use I want to know that the audio and video are HD at the very least. It won't be a very long time before even HD is considered an old standard. Maybe it is HD I'm just not sure because it doesn't mention this on the Join.me sales page. Otherwise it does what it does very well.
