What was the best part about using Jive Hosted VoIP?
I like that the registration for Jive Hosted VoIP is quick, and the company works closely with potential customers to get them set up and running. After signing up, I got the relevant paperwork via email, including a request to port over an existing phone number or add new numbers, as well as a quote sheet with my complete payment information. Once my account was activated, I received a fulfillment notice from Jive with the relevant information.
What would you change about your experience with Jive Hosted VoIP?
There were some problems with Jive Hosted VoIP after an update they had, some of the features stopped working properly and it some time to revise them and there was also a small interruption in the service only once which took the entire system down for approximately 15 minutes, but the back-up was longer
Overall Feedback
Overall Jive Hosted VoIP can scale up to larger SMBs, but considering that every single user has to be set up one at a time, it's a little surprising there are no bulk user management tools. I would not mind using the interface to set up ten or a few more users, but by the time you get many, it gets tedious. It would be nice to have tools that allowed administrators to apply changes to groups of users and handle larger number of users at once. A good workaround, though, is to have all the rules tied to the call group, and just manually add and drop users to the group.
