Jive Hosted VoIP

Ease of implementation, ease of administration, no full-time IT guy needed. Sound quality is excellent and service has been rock solid. People were knowledgeable and friendly, and I was never left hanging. Total cost of ownership is much lower than owning a PBX, especially when you consider admin costs. Jive has very good customer service, very good technical support, a solid feature set, and a low cost.

The only thing on our wish list for Jive, right now, is a software interface for hard (physical) phone users -- currently, people using physical phones can only perform presence monitoring on the phones directly. Some degree of software-based call/presence control would be nice, though I'm not sure about the technical challenges involved in this.

Get VOIP if you don't have it. My old local VOIP provider stopped the service so I had to find a new one. I did a lot of research and found prices could vary widely. After identifying reasonable price providers I started checking on service levels as reported by users. That is why I went with Jive. They are as competitively priced as any and the service level reports were very good. Now that I have Jive I can tell you the service and support levels are terrific. I made the right choice.
