JasperSoft is a business intelligence and reporting analytics software as a solution which is available with a local installation and also exclusively in the cloud with a pay by the hour option which is the feature which most differentiates this company from others so far, in my opinion. The process of signing up for your trial and logging in initially is seamless which wasn't the case with another BI solution which was surprising but perhaps a rare issue, I would hope. This BI solution has a good number of deployment options and it's very scalable. You can sync to Hadoop, MongaDB, Google among others to give you an idea of the big data roots. It's a very modular software with a ton of flexibility in terms of how to customize your environment and deployment. I like that it's such a visual BI tool which is easily my favorite way to learn. Yet it also has deep analytics and easy to create reporting which you can embed elsewhere as well which is cool. To have access to a way to help automate your integration of several, powerful open source solutions for less than a dollar per hour is terrific. It's the most cost efficient way to have this level of rich analytics without the significant costs which usually come with one integration, not to mention several which are possible basically much easier than ever before. If you're analyzing big data there's simply no reason to pay outrageous fees which seem to be the norm in the industry with the exception of Microsoft Power BI and a couple others such as MixPanel, for example. Though each serving slightly different purposes JasperSoft's strength is their leverage of open source software which allows them to charge by the hour because they don't have to develop or update these technologies internally, or exclusively. I love the leverage involved by this company it's quite brilliant. I like that you can mash up your data between multiple sources. It's the best way to have an optimized view of the big picture from which you can drill down into to uncover insight through analysis of overall patterns and trends. It's a very mobile platform as well which is great so you're team can utilize it remotely and be on the same page on the fly regardless of respective physical locations.I like the overall account at a glance which is available is useful and brings together a good amount of information in a centralized location in a big picture.

There is a serious learning curve in order to utilize Jaspersoft proficiently and it would be good to plan well in advance with an experts perspective to guide your implementation and deployment. I would suggest extending your trial in order to have the most time possible with the full account features and functionality so you can be very systematic and prevent hassles perhaps down the road. While the reporting is very visual and that's great, I don't find the overall design or functionality to be particularly user friendly. There's a ton of clicking going on at all times and it's going to take some time to intuitively click your next steps in your most optimal worflow. The account itself feels like a regular spreadsheet and isn't as enjoyable as Chart.io to use, nor nearly as efficient.

If you have an expert able to configure your data seamlessly and efficiently that is your best case use scenario with JasperSoft in my opinion. There is a very solid set of open source big data platforms you an sync to relatively easily and to pay by the hour is a great idea. Your level of proficiency when analyzing the reporting possible though would take most users time to learn how to streamline the best perspectives relevant to your company. Otherwise, there are a lot of charts available for each set of filtered criteria and going through each to select your best options is going to be a significant time investment in my opinion best completed through a hired gun.
