iGradePlus

iGradePlus has a cool feature that allows you to not only name the course, but to leave a "description" of the course, as well as the course numbers and grade levels associated with the courses, which is required to be displayed for State Reporting purposes. It also allows you to define up to 12 class periods. This is great for if your school has dual enrollment classes that are held either before or after the school's set hours. For example, at our school, the dual enrollment Psychology class is during what is referred to as "zero period," before the actual school day begins.

Unfortunately, for the time being, iGradePlus does not have a feature to override a student's course grades, which I have found to be problematic, because I do not have control over the final grades. For example, according to school policy, if a student misses 10 absences in a semester, passes both terms, but does not pass the semester exam, their overall grade is supposed to be changed to a 59 (a failing grade), and without being able to have a grade override feature, it becomes an issue. Also, it lacks a way to set semester weights, for example Terms 1 & 2 would each be worth 40% of the semester grade, and the remaining 20% is supposed to be the semester exam grade. Without this feature, I have to do the math myself.

Overall, it's an excellent software to have. I actually needed a new software, because Engrade ended their free subscription, and so I kinda went into panic mode trying to find something to replace it. Once I found iGradePlus, I fell in love with it. I can do a more with the free subscription for iGradePlus, than I could on Engrade.
