It also helps the user to backup and restores the data whenever it is required. The software is very flexible and can be integrated with other third-party software. It is capable of managing a large amount of data and has a powerful Command Line Interface (CLI), which is the primary way to run TSM. The cloud deployed software is supported by different platforms such as Linux, Windows, VMware, Hyper-V, Oracle, MSQL and much more.

IBM Tivoli software’s major drawback is that it does not have a friendly user interface and user faces many difficulties in its operation due to its complexity. The software has the large learning curve and it takes around 6 months for a beginner to use the software efficiently. The user using Linux / UNIX platforms gets difficulties to install the IBM Tivoli. The DB2 portion becomes difficult to remove while uninstallation. The web interface of this cloud-based software should be streamlined. The cost of the software is very high as compared to other competitive software available in the market. The company does not provide the software’s free trial version due to which the user can test the software’s capabilities before buying it.
