IBM SPSS

For me, the best about SPSS is that it includes an interactive means and interface for data entry. From beginners to advanced level of individuals, they can use a point and click to organize and run data without having to lean code. And since it is a widely used product, macros are always available to provide certain functionalities that are not found in the package.

SPSS contains some limitations with regards to a more advanced statistical modelling. Alternatives such as SAS, R or MATLAB are more ideal in these types of analysis but also comes in a steeper learning curve. SPSS is also not that intuitive when it comes to editing charts and graphs. I usually use excel for these kinds of job.

SPSS provides an amazing tool for answering scientific questions with statistical rigor. Although the program is quite expensive, there are also some versions of low cost but of course, it has lesser functionalities. I would also recommend using Macros in the attempt to fill the gaps left by this program.
