Hubstaff is a time tracking solution which allows you to track billable time and offer screenshots should clients want them of your activity which is great that is the level of accountability I like to share with clients, especially when I start a new project. There is a solo plan available for free. It will keep time tracking logged for one month which is fair enough. Otherwise you don't get the integration or payroll features but you still have full functionality and features beyond that which is great. The first paid plan start at five dollars per month and includes payroll, integrations and a lot more. It really is outstanding value offered as you can hire employees, track them and pay them all from this app. This app actually has more features than the Upwork time tracking app. And it is Upwork's app which I have used a the standard for features I was looking to find in a time tracking app. The screenshots and activity reports are more detailed and provide more accurate representation of your work engagement by breaking it down into percentages doing what activity exactly which is also outstanding. You can add multiple projects easily. In fact, the entire dashboard is very intuitive to learn and beginning using. I was able to do so within a couple of minutes. The desktop app is really lightweight as well so doesn't affect your computer speed at all which is good. It loads up your time activities and screenshots into your Hubstaff online account every ten minutes and they are highly detailed and accurate which is tremendous as I have been wanting to find this app for a long time now. As a contractor or freelancer you are going to love being able to track your hours and get paid right in your account; if you're client is already using this app or is willing to do so. Either way it is very simple to utilize this functionality while you are traveling or at home. So the freedom remains the same for us fortunate who can work from home, or from a beach. While the accountability remains consistent and allows you to have something unique to offer clients to differentiate yourself from the competition when using anything other than Upwork to track your projects. I often get freelance jobs off of Craigslist or Kijiji here in Canada quite easily but I have not been able to mention in my resume that I can track with 100% accuracy before. And I know it will enable me to get work even easier now. As I can mention how trackable and measurable my work is and how they can verify it themselves anytime. If you're in management this will be an incredible tool I highly recommend and will be using myself from now on for all of my own teams. To consider saving on the fees you must usually pay to Upwork and other companies for facilitating the work between client and contractor is an awesome thing. Now I can hire folks off of classified sites or through other resources and hire them independently fromo these sites and save that ten percent which really adds up. This is the minimum savings when you also consider the increased productivity if you have a current team not tracking there work off of Upwork.com, for example. Being able to see if hired help is distracted by their personal email, or simply not working as efficiently as other team members is easily spotted and can be turned into a positive situation. With either greatly improved productivity from this individual or their replacement. Either way, you are going to save money, increase productivity and keep folks happy by being able to pay them directly from the app as well.

I don't believe there is a native Google Android app available as of yet which is unfortunate but I have read there is one currently in development. Though the desktop app works on Mac, Windows and Linux as well which is terrific. It seems there needs to be so many words here but to be honest this is the best time tracking software possible in my opinion. There is very little to dislike especially when they get the Android app finally deployed.

Overall, I am honestly excited to use this app beyond the solo plan which is my current usage. Having the ability save Upwork fees, leverage outsourced help and maintain accountability for five bucks per month is pretty much a dream come true for any entrepreneur and small business owner such as myself. There are several other smaller features which greatly differentiate this software solution from other which I have tried out in recently. The GPS tracking in the mobile app is awesome. So is the ability to blur screenshots to protect privacy and security. You can control the number of screenshots taken per ten minute interval. And prompt the desktop app to become idle if you're not active for your choice of minutes. And you can control if the keyboard and mouse activity is tracked which is simply amazing. There isn't a single feature missing from this software that I can think of and I highly recommend it!
