When we surveyed our staff to find out how often they wanted to hear from their manager regarding their performance, they overwhelmingly agreed that they prefer regular feedback. Before Halogen we did appraisals once a year. Halogen allowed us to go paperless and become more efficient to do an annual process and a mid year process. That everything can be configured by the administrators. You are not dependent on external consulting services.

Sometimes I am challenged in the way our professional services non-linear reporting environment makes it necessary to revise our process so we can fully utilize Halogen. Not necessarily a knock against the product, just forces us to rethink internal processes. Many of the employees see the product as an added task and do not check their profiles regularly, so the messaging function for managers does not work as smoothly as expected.

The software is very intuitive and user friendly, both for the users and the administrators. Over time, we have refined our appraisal process and have had zero problems integrating these changes/updates in Halogen. This to me speaks volumes to the quality of the product. That and I have yet to stump the stellar customer service at Halogen (and believe me I have tried). Halogen’s eAppraisal is indeed best in class.
