Greycat 2000 is a very cost-effective software package. It comes in three editions (The Limited Edition, The Standard Edition, and The Professional Edition), so the office can choose from varying degrees of software functionality and prices. The Limited Edition is appropriate for small offices, while the Professional Edition has the functions needed for large practices. I like how Greycat 2000 can serve as a standalone application or as a network application; effectively using an office’s current resources (i.e., one CPU as the server for several workstations).

There is no version of Greycat 2000 for Mac or Unix. Greycat 2000 software runs on an antiquated version of Windows (i.e., Windows XP and Windows XP Pro). Greycat 2000 cannot be run on e-machines (the unalterable core software of e-machines blocks Greycat 2000 from starting). Greycat 2000 is incompatible with McAfee Anti-Virus software and drag and drop backup systems.

Greycat 2000 was design by a physician who observed how his current paper document-based medical software was hindering more than helping his office operations.
