Google Slides

Google is known for its great and simplistic products. Google Slides, is unquestionably not an exception. it is extremely easy to use for the everyday person and is quite capable of handling your basic presentation needs. Google's unique take on real-time online editing with people around the world is truly innovating and can be extremely useful in the right setting. This allows for multiple people to work on a project concurrently without having to be in the same room.

Where Google slides falls short, however, is in the functionality and accessibility department. Google Slides requires users to have a Google account in order to access and utilize its capabilities. This is a big turn-off for those who do not currently possess a Google account. In addition, there is no offline editing mode of your presentations - you are only allowed to view while in offline mode. Google Slides is also lacking from a functionality standpoint. Slides are quite laggy when transitioning through heavy amounts of text/pictures. Image embedding is very clunky at best. There are a good amount of features missing from Google Slides when compared to competing solutions, such as Powerpoint and Prezi.

Google Slides shines in its simplicity of ease of communication. It falls short in its functionality and accessibility department. If your presentation problems include massive amounts of real-time online editing around the globe, then Google Slides might be for you. If not, I highly recommend looking elsewhere and into other competing solutions. Google Slides is free for all users with Google accounts, so pricing should not be an issue.
