Google Calendar

Google Calendar is useful in a lot of ways. I've synced it to my customer relationship management software in order to keep track of my online sales meetings day to day. I've used to keep a schedule of personal events too during busier months. And I use it every day on my phone just to know the date because it can allude me sometimes. The newest features are pretty cool including automatic reservations added right from your email for restaurants or flights and more, while you can change these settings too. Google Calendar is available for both Android and iPhone which is important because cross-application usage used to be an issue when sending invites to non-Google smartphone users, for example. The calendar functionality is really easy to work with once you play around with it a bit. If you've not found located it look in the nine squared icon in the top right hand side of your Google account. The beauty is that it will sync across all of your devices and internet browsers so you're always on the ball and never have an excuse to get things done, or mistakenly miss an important appointment or meeting. The integrations for Google calendar into it's other tools is great. And it integrates into hundreds of other softwares as well. CRM software, CMS software, social media marketing software, task and project management software and way more. Too many to mention but that's one of the strongest features of Google Calendar is the ability to sync it to up to Google Hangouts, and other tools in many other ways besides your Google account. In Google Calendar with Hangouts for example, you can embed a link to your event. If you have Android in your watch you can actually just speak into your wrist to setup a new event in your Google Calendar. That's sweet! Being able to integrate multiple calendars is awesome too. You can subscribe to other public calendars or private calendars with permission and see everything labeled clearly on your own. It's a huge time saver. Combining multiple calendars into one is also required, being able to subscribe to public calendars for regional or business events is great. There are a number of cool settings probably under utilized by most users in the 'Labs' tab in your 'Settings' area. A number of which can simplify or enhance your calendar in some super helpful ways. Take a peek at those if you haven't checked them out yet. You can enable offline mode when you're not connected to the internet which can be useful if you're traveling, though you need to install the Google Calendar extension from the Chrome store which is free.

You still hear of issues as with most calendaring softwares with the invite feature seeming to be glitchy or limited because there's not a set standard across calendar softwares but I've personally not had any issues that I can recall. Though issues seem to have tapered off over the last year or so if you the read reviews for Google Calendar.

The overall reliability of Google Calendar is one of it's best features. While the ability to integrate it into Google Hangouts and so many other third party softwares is really advantageous because it makes life easier. The ability to sync across all of your devices is another great benefit. Overall, once again Google offers us amazing free value with Google Calendar as part of it's legendary free suite of software tools available to anyone, anywhere to use.
