Gmail

Gmail is Google's free email service and it's awesome and really easy to use. There are a lot of customization and communication options included in each free account including email capability, Google drive file storage, various document file applications and Google Calendar. It's possible to connect Gmail with thousands of integrations available though not necessarily from within Gmail itself. It's cool when composing new email they take up a small window on the bottom right side of the browser window. So you can still view the email you were last on. While Gmail can auto-save your drafts ongoing so it's terrific not having to worry about losing data. I believe it's happened with Google but it's very rare that Gmail goes down or data is lost. Considering the massive impact Gmail has on hundreds of millions of people everyday there record for security overall I believe is very good. I like that we can create new Gmail accounts for projects. Gmail is the only real free email service provider that maintains some credibility when cold emailing, using spam-compliant one by one emails sent. As well that it prompts email addresses when I begin typing someone's name or email address when composing a new message. It's very convenient to setup out of office messages with a vacation responder, and setup common responses too. I've found it very powerful to integrate Gmail with my branded business website domain emails. I've done this for my own business and multiple clients. Whereby the Gmail because synced via the account settings 'send mail from another account' option. So I can send my company email using Gmail. Emails which are sent and received as my branded domain email. This enables access on mobile devices especially considering that Cpanel email servers are very archaic and do nothing but basic emailing with very little customization options. Gmail enables users too also utilize video conferencing, Google hang out presentations, instant messaging along with phone capabilities in addition to email. I've used the Google Calendar synced to my CRM and used it extensively to organize my days and business meetings.

I had one Gmail account security breached about two and half years ago. I hadn't clicked malicious links but discovered someone had sent spammy email using my account by a few responses I had received from contacts. I instantly changed my password and enabled double verification on my account. And have had no problems since in my personal Gmail account. I don't care for the segregated email folders in which Google automatically classifies my email and sorts it into Primary, Social and Promotions tabs. I can understand their reasoning but I like a central dashboard where I can scan and filter an overview of everything myself. As I know what to expect from clients so I would appreciate less clicks when looking for these emails. Thankful my older Gmail accounts retain a legacy account setup without these folders. I would like not having ads in my Gmail back-end. But that's never going to be the case with a free service and I can appreciate that from a business perspective. Even though these ads are targeted somewhat based on my email data, I very rarely if ever have clicked on ads in my Gmail. There's a learning curve to using Gmail optimally. But it's easy to replicate in new accounts once you know the style preferences, security settings, SMTP/IMAP settings, and labs preferences to get setup quickly when setting up basic Gmail accounts. And also a learning curve when integrating Google Apps For Work.

Overall Gmail is an amazing communication platform which includes email to be utilized by any individual or organization. With the possibility of sending and receiving email as your branded email using Gmail it's a no-brainer choice. Having mobile access to my business communications with Gmail and it's extended functionality so easily compared to Cpanel email Webmail, it's great to keep my brand intact while still utilizing all the organizational and custom options found in Gmail. Gmail has been a pillar in my life personally and in business for many years and I don't see this changing unless there becomes an new standard of daily communication service we all eventually prefer. And that's saying something. As you can't beat a free service that can do everything regarding facilitating relationships and business. The extensions and plugins found for Gmail using Chrome and Firefox is enormous and simply adds to it's as a whole. I love Gmail and use it every day. And recommend Gmail as your go to free email provider.
