FileMaker Server

Filemaker has actually been a wondeful tool to have for years, but in this last version Filemaker Pro 14 developers have really outdone any other version hands downl The user experience as a whole is mind-blowing! The best part is that there really is not any programming novice necessary to use this software seamlessly. UI editing and its general appearance makes it obvious that Apple played a large hand in it's development, design, and efficiency.

Even though Filemaker has more features than ever that are included with its newer version, it still lacks some features that could make it that much better. From my experience and from what I gathered from other's accounts with Filemaker, developers have still not addressed a problem with the fonts in the app not refreshing or relaunching adequately. Additionally, there is also the missing component of support when connecting to MYSQL. One of the last downsides to FileMaker is its slightly too high price tag.

Filemaker is extraordinary useful in so many facets. One of the largest reason for the app's popularity is the fact that it has been around since 1985! Its firm and very long reputation on the market along with consistent improvements with each version provides a viable solution for database management and file management in a huge way! However, its price could be too much for those who want the same features and are willing to compromise on performance.
