I have been using the new report builder for a couple months. It is well-designed, easy to use and efficient. I can develop the reports I need myself and create custom reports for co-workers. While other users haven't made their own reports yet, I'm sure in the future they will as it is very intuitive. I can save the reports and download them to excel for further exploration.

As this is a new tool, not all fields are available right now. When I have asked for them to be added, it has been done quickly. If a field is a bit more "buried" in the system, you may have to pay for it to be added. I have been able to get everything I needed at no cost and I think we have a pretty wide variety of reports available to our senior management team.

For the system as a whole, the price is much better than their competitors. It did take us longer than expected to get the system up and running, but that process was also helpful to the organization as a whole to identify areas where we needed to further develop our internal rules and procedures for how things should be done. Basic functionality is there out of the box, but you can really make it your own. We have developed over a dozen forms that we use as well as a sign off system to comply with our state regulations. We have been able to work with the GVT team to develop new functionality that will help us be more effective. We are an organization with a long history of aversion to technology and for the first time we are discussing reports coming from FAMCare and using them as a tool of accountability for our workforce and a tool for efficiency for our Case Managers. We have transposed our paper filing system to FAMCare within the first month of having the system up and ready.
