What was the best part about using Facebook for Business?

Facebook for Business is an online advertising and fanpage management software which allows you to claim pages or ad accounts or request access to them. It saves you the hassle of waiting for admin access to client pages as you can facilitate this process by sending an invitation to get it started. You can use the Facebook advertising platform to drive traffic to your offers and I've done so successfully multiple times. It's relatively easy to set up your first ad. I found the Facebook ad manager to be more intuitive than Google Adwords was when I first started using it. You can add multiple images and test them to see which gets the best response. It's useful for local businesses to help get targeted traffic but it's good for online businesses as well which are global. The data Facebook has access to is massive so their targeting and reporting analytics for their advertising platform is amazing. It's easily the best in the industry that I've seen with such targeting as income level, education level, buying intent which goes well beyond but includes the basic gender, age, and location based geo-targeting functionality found in most online advertising targeting options. We used Facebook as a major component for a sweepstakes giveaway during our launch and it's been great we've had over one thousand entries within twenty four hours and we haven't even begun with the paid Facebook traffic yet. By using Facebook for business you can engage in two way real time conversations with your target audience via your fan page as well which is the home of our sweepstakes. Facebook for Business is great for teams it helps you utilize permissions to ensure staff has the correct roles granted with the corresponding access. As well as manage many clients from a single, centralized dashboard for everything.

What would you change about your experience with Facebook for Business?

It can be costly to not have the most optimized, targeted pay per click advertising campaign on any platform Facebook included. Take the time to get to know your target audience and market in order to fill in the most detailed profile possible. This helps your targeting options. The more precise your targeting is within a relatively large group of people the less it will cost you generally speaking. There is a learning curve involved when it comes to the advertising world including PPC and display advertising. It's got its own terminology and feature set which may be unfamiliar at first so if you're a casual advertiser you will likely have to review some of the functions in your account ongoing because there is a lot of functionality to utilize. And while it's relatively simple to get any old ad going, it's not easy to get the most optimal campaign including retargeting and analytics without taking a learning curve. It definitely helps to have consistent use and do constant split testing.

Overall Feedback

Facebook has become an essential tool for businesses. If you're not utilizing it in at least one of the ways possible to grow your business you're leaving revenue on the table. The advertising is super targeted and relatively cost efficient although it helps to have an expert set up and manage your campaigns if you can afford this in order to optimize your campaigns to get the best return without trial and error type testing. There is a process and best practice possible when using Facebook ads which significantly alters your cost per click, or per impression depending upon your choice of your campaign.
