NETIKUS.NET is a privately held, growing software company located in the Chicago loop (US), which was founded in 2002. We develop commercial software, freeware software, and provide our customers with free tutorials and free online services such as myeventlog.com and our blog.

We strive to develop affordable and easy-to-understand software solutions that make the management of your IT infrastructure as easy as possible. We are currently developing four applications, three of which are also available as freeware versions at no cost. .

Our feature software product, EventSentry, originally released in 2001 under the name EventwatchNT, is a comprehensive and affordable event log and system monitoring solution that can be integrated into Unix networks. We are the only company that offers a true freeware event log monitoring solution with EventSentry Light, a stripped-down version of EventSentry.

NETIKUS.NET is privately held, self-sustaining, profitable and debt-free. NETIKUS.NET proudly donates to a variety of local and global organizations to help those in need across the globe.

What was the best part about using EventSentry?

How quickly it became a valuable part of our tool set after installation and a little configuration.

What would you change about your experience with EventSentry?

Well, you can't just install it and expect to have it all working without a look through the manual, but I hesitate to even consider that a bad thing. So, the worst part is probably the little indicator telling me that we are only using just over half of the available features. We are already getting a lot out of the product, but that indicator makes me feel like I need to spend a few more weeks with it to get that up to 100%, and I just don't have time right now. It's a nice notice, but the perfectionist in me wants to see that at 100% (or hide it...)

Overall Feedback

What a Fantastic product!!!! The installation and configuration was far more intuitive and even quicker than the previous version that we tried. Configuring how and when to send emails (and even shutting them off completely) was just in-your-face simple, and the amount of time it took us to go from download to getting value was significantly less than we had been expecting for a product of this magnitude. I am, frankly, astonished that your team has been able to make such strides in a little more than a year’s time. I did, unsurprisingly, need to reach out to the support desk for a little help, which was both smooth and very pleasant this time around. The issue was a complete oversight on my part, but very quickly diagnosed and resolved. The technician could also tell that I had just finished the installation process, and was happy to poke around at a few of the other default settings to make sure I wouldn’t have any other issues, and he answered any and all of my questions while on the phone. Also, sadly I have to post anonymously as I refuse to touch LinkedIn under it's new owners, but I would gladly attach my name to this review if other options were available.
