The product may provide no assistance at all to companies that do not have an internal .NET expert as some HTML knowledge is required. For companies with a small budget, the costs of using the product are too high and is therefore not recommendable. It is also hard to find training materials for some of the features.

EpiServer does stand out as one the best products in comparison to other CMS products but is more suitable for large-scale websites. The product can at times be slow when loading and publishing. It is highly recommendable to have full-time developers so as to effectively rip the benefits offered by the product. When compared to other products, EpiServer is easier to customize and manage and is also more stable.
