The software’s record keeping and regulations regarding record management are very amazing. It empowers clients to work on the same project from different locations due to its web-based network. The Documentum software is not up to date with the latest technology and runs with basic features. The software contains some bugs due to which the desktops gets the hang and have to reboot my computer. The company should fix these problems in the newer upgrade. The web-based software does not have a friendly user interface and the user finds difficulty in its operation. The software is fully depended on JAVA whereas the number of its updates released is an issue for the software. EMC licensing for the software is difficult to manage and confuses the user.

Documentum is the best product when it comes to scanning the media for the organizations. The user interface of the software is a bit complex but if ones the user gets used to it, he can’t find any other ECM software than this. The best part of this software is that it can manage documents and electronic records at the same time. This saves the time and enables the user to find the data in an efficient manner. Thus, I recommend this software to all mid and small scale business that requires a tool that can control all organization’s information content.
