All courses are completely free. Coursera offers a great variety of courses (MOOC) and they can be done at no cost. If you want them to send you a certified diploma, then you have to pay a fee. Courses are given by lectures in very prestigious universities. And something I really like is that the structure of the courses is very easy to follow, the page shows you in order what you have to do now and they even put a check once you finished your homework.

This is mostly related to having to study online. It is a proven fact that studying alone, I mean, without a teacher and student environment, is more difficult. You need to be focused on what you want and you have to avoid distractions effectively because studying at your own rhythm online can make a 5 week course into a 5 months one!

Coursera is a great option for curious people. It offers a wide range of courses that go from science to pedagogy, nutrition and writing skills. You name it. It gives you the opportunity to learn something new and also meet new people because you have to review the assignments of your peers and leave some comments about their work. So you can see that people from all over the world use this tool.
