Taxonomy Boot Camp 2016 will focus on taxonomy methodologies inspired by a range of disciplines, including cognitive science, data management, and user experience design. Join us to learn more about diverse practical approaches that will improve your taxonomy development and implementation skills.More and more organizations are aware of taxonomy and recognize its value. Taxonomy has gone from being a hard sell to a hot topic. In this new taxonomy-savvy context, how can we as taxonomy practitioners improve our work and meet the increasing demand? How can we advance the methodologies behind a craft that requires both practicality and artistry? How can we be better taxonomists?

The Taxonomy Boot Camp program is designed to provide something for everyone, from taxonomy newbies to seasoned experts (and everyone in between). Two parallel tracks on the first day provide those new to the field with the nuts and bolts they need to get up-to-speed and give more experienced practitioners insight into how others have evolved their approaches. On the second day, hear case studies, practical sessions on taxonomy tools and methods, and cutting-edge developments in the field.
