CATIA offers a solution to shape design, styling, surfacing workflow and visualization to create, modify, and validate complex innovative shapes from industrial design to Class-A surfacing with the ICEM surfacing technologies. CATIA supports multiple stages of product design whether started from scratch or from 2D sketches. CATIA v5 is able to read and produce STEP format files for reverse engineering and surface reuse.

Main problem with this product is the poor support from Dessault. If you have an experienced team that can be self supportive, then you should be fine. If you are counting on Dessault support, stay away from it, our experience with them has been nothing short of terrible.Another problem I have noticed is that many times if you make a mistake, there is no "cancel" button on many dialogue boxes

It provides the flexibility to customize a dashboard with any amount of information from any number of sources to allow you to view at a glance all of the changing and updated.
