Case Logistix

Case Logistix is robust and allows you to change the design per case. By using WayPoint you are able to load in basically any type of load file and I often like to keep the file folder structure provided by the clients and sometimes opposing counsel. The program started out with several design defects in 2012 to 2014, but worked pretty good between 2014 and the beginning of 2017.

I wish they had a development department that checked updates before they put them out and at least take down updates they are aware have design defects. Once the update is added you can not go back to a previous version.

Often the updates crash the database program and it could take months for Westlaw to come out with a fix. The August 2016 update has an error that is running spell check every time a search is ran. It often crashes out the system and the database is currently running very slow due to the spell check that is running in the background. I made the mistake of calling Westlaw with a Markup tool issue in February 2017 and they told me I needed the update. The update crashed my system and did not fix my markup tool problem I originally had. I called and Westlaw said they would have a fix for Case Logistix in April. In April, I called again and they said they would have a fix in May. It is May and I called again and now they said I should buy a different program if I want something that works!!!! Westlaw has no current plans to fix the Case Logistix design defect.
