I like that it is web based and that it has the Excel plugin. I also like the user interface.

The price is quite high. I would like to see a proprietary research capability. Also, they should add more features for further customization of standard reports. With so many data available, sometimes it can be difficult to navigate through it, maybe they could organize it better. It happens that some of the data are not accurate or it is outdated, but that's very rare.

The research process itself is fast and effective and the data it provides is accurate and of a high quality. All of this makes it an excellent analysis and workflow tool, invaluable for my business. Capital IQ targets the businesses in investment banking and management, venture capital, private equity, and individual usage for corporate or academic purposes. Capital IQ has some issues. It lacks features for detailed customization of reports, it has no proprietary research ability, and from time to time some of the provided data is inaccurate. The price is high, but overall, in my opinion, this solution is worth the cost.
