Camtasia

Camtasia is the most advanced software made by TechSmith and it's most popular as well, I believe. I know Camtasia is the industry standard in the internet marketing world. I believe it was their main platform prior to SnagIt, Jing and their different software's and I recall it being known for its screen video capture capabilities, but now it's a powerful video creation and editing tool in addition to a screen video capture tool. Take advantage of the knowledge and tutorials as well as the active, passionate Techsmith community to get help when you need it. With so much functionality there is a learning curve but it's actually very intuitive to learn and easy to get going. While your efforts can be sped along with help from other users and experts. TechSmith makes cool software stylistically. Camtasia works relatively fast considering it can be resource heavy which is the general nature of video though currently in this day and age anyways. In the tools tab, there are a lot of ways to enhance your presentations such as cursor effects, transitions, call outs, quizzes and quite a lot more. I like the feature which automatically imports the video footage into the editor ready for you to produce. It's a small feature but makes for a streamlined workflow. You can create a presentation using slides and combine it with a screen capture video. Add music in from the editor as well and then render it into a popular video format and post it automatically to Vimeo or Youtube all from inside Camtasia so that's excellent versatility and productivity possible from a single software. You can also sync up your smartphone in order to send videos and images from it to Camtasia which is something that differentiates it from some of their competition so far in my research. Which is why this combination of software functionality can basically be the core of any mobile or online based business with regards to creating and uploading professional sales videos from a single, central dashboard is very powerful and Camtasia makes it really easy to do. You can integrate your Google Drive account as well which makes it super simple to move files back and forth. This makes it easy to import your slides from Google Slides for example but it's possible to record PowerPoint from right inside your Camtasia dashboard too. While this makes collaboration possible in real time basically for teams in remote locations which is awesome.

Is it me, or is it not possible to use bullets for a list in the text boxes? Or indenting? Perhaps I'm missing it somewhere but it's not obvious anyway. That seems like it should be possible in my opinion. The audio editing tools could be improved as I still go to a third party source to produce and master my audio tracks. The pricing didn't allow me to use Camtasia when I was just starting out with my business so if there was a $5-10 per month option for a cloud based version I'm certain they would have a decent market for this SAAS because the professionalism you're working with and the support you get from TechSmith are empowering compared to other perhaps less expensive video capture software.

Camtasia is a very comprehensive tool which can be used for a multitude of reasons including for marketing and business purposes. The video screen capture and ability to create engaging sales videos and tutorial videos which you could offer as a product to sell online or offer through a membership site. I like the editing capabilities they are quite robust for the price compared to other more expensive video editing software's. If you've used their free Jing program and want to step it up Camtasia shares the same core functionality but improves upon it a lot. It's not the least expensive video editor on the market but it's far from the most expensive as well. The overall value of Camtasia is excellent considering it's not a monthly recurring subscription.
