Sonny Software Bookends referencing software that works on Macs and Mac OS X has a clean and easy to navigate user interface. Bookends have good features and abilities to store, organize, search for references. BookEnds uses different resources including Google Scholar, Library of Congress, Amazon and more. Bookends have an HTTP server which allows sharing of work online.

Bookends user interface is not that much intuitive and modern. Some users need to go through documentation or video tutorials to understand how to go through the software. Bookends lack an inspired design for normal users including students who might be trying the software for the first time. Bookends have a learning curve but the support is delivering video tutorials that are informative.

Bookends are known for a good customer support and detailed documentation but the software is not that much easy to use for students and they could have released an easier version. Bookends are only for Mac and it does not support Windows but it has native mobile application. Bookends have the ability to work with large bibliographies seamlessly.
