Bomgar

Bomgar is a secure remote support software which allows you to control another person's computer with their permission. This is useful in a number of ways but their are two which are very practical I've experienced. Including technical support for a software I've purchased that doesn't seem to work as advertise. For example, a photoshop teacher could log on to your computer to show you how to use a layer mask while talking you through it. Or an AutoCAD expert could help you learn how to create the design you're envisioning using your software directly even though they are physically located somewhere else. Bomgar puts an emphasis on security with their remote support system. Encryption based connections are outbound so you can still connect without firewall or VPS changes. You can manage authentication and utilize very advanced user permissions. Actually there are over fifty permissions available for remote technicians which is outstanding. While you can create a detailed audit and historical log of each remote support sessions. You can enable 'embeddables' to Bomgar to extend the usage beyond the core functionality including a screen collaboration tool, chat support, mobile app remote support and something called the Bomgar Button which allows you to place a shortcut on someone's remote desktop so they can contact you support anytime they need it. Kind of like a Batman symbol for remote support technicians. lol

It's somewhat frustrating how the program will alert you if you've been active for a period of time. Which is useful for some perhaps but it can be distracting if you're reading, or writing elsewhere while working. The ability to customize this option further would add value to the offer and increase efficiency of your workflow.
