What was the best part about using Blackboard?
As a college student, I found Blackboard quite helpful when I needed to submit any online assignments that included homework, quizzes, tests, etc. It provided an excellent environment for online communication between students and professors. Is quite helpful and convenient for university institutions anywhere because of the standard platform for all.
What would you change about your experience with Blackboard?
There were many times where Blackboard was "down," and caused many complications as to turning assignments. When too many people are on it, or whenever it required maintenance, maintenance always occurred mid-day, or scheduled almost at the most inconvenient hours. When professors recorded their online lectures, a lot of the time those videos had difficulty playing.
Another point I'd like to make is that there should be a standard in how sub-folders should be arranged. An easier user interface would be extremely helpful for simplified navigation. I've seen way too often where professors who are struck with boredom, begin mixing up folders and sub-folders after sub-folders, causing heavy confusion for all students. My main focus for more improvement in this software would be a better standard and a user friendly design.
Overall Feedback
Although I'm not fully satisfied with this product, it works to turn in assignments. Beyond that, there isn't really much I can say that I love about it. Useful for turning in assignments and basic classroom needs, but could use some better improvement on user-friendly aspects of the software so that it won't require as much "maintenance" issues.
