Bing Ads

I haven't had any yet. I was trying to open a new account and despite many hours of working with customer service, the new account was permanently closed for no apparent reason.

New Bing accounts are getting Blocked without specifying any reason. There is a whole thread on this on the Bing Ads forums, and I have also experienced this issue. I had never created a Bing Ads account before yesterday (11/16/2018), however I have been a successful Google Ads manager for my clients since 2015. When I created a Bing Ads account, imported a customer's Google Ads campaigns, and added the same payment method I've used since 2015 for that Google Ads account, the Bing Ads account was blocked and then closed. I spent many hours trying to find out exactly what had happened. Customer service was courteous but was unable to help me troubleshoot the issue because they are barred from revealing (or even finding out) the reason an account is closed. They advised that try opening a new account with a different email address and different payment method and basically cross my fingers and hope the account doesn't get closed without explanation again. The process seems arbitrary and I for one can say that it is broken because I am a valid advertiser. There is no transparency and no valid appeal process. The Bing Ads group should implement a process to verify callers identity and then share the specific technical reasons an account was closed. Without an appeal/review process there is no way to prevent their analysts from making mistakes based off gut decisions rather than truly following procedures. Being told to try opening a new account but not use the same email address or credit card is ridiculous. Even the support staff persons I spoke to in multiple calls seemed to consider the Bing Ads account closure analysis team to be inscrutable and arbitrary.

Bing Ads is incorrectly closing people's accounts with no explanation and no way to correct it. I am understandably upset and angry that my account was incorrectly closed. Bing Ads has no process to correct its own mistakes.
