What was the best part about using BigContacts?

BigContacts is a customer relationship management software combined with an email marketing platform in one. The CRM software is the basic pricing and the email is an add-on price depending upon how many contacts you choose. The beauty of combining both of these softwares such as in BigContacts is that you can engage, nurture and track prospects through the entire customer lifecycle in your sales pipeline. BigContacts is based in the cloud so it's accessible in your internet browser from any device such as your smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer which is always nice. All of you contact information are displayed in your contacts tab with all of their relevant details and the prior history between you including links to social media accounts and website urls. As well as email history, updated deals, past meetings and other notes too. You can set alerts to learn when particular emails have been opened. You can import contacts easily which is always a plus. While sales reps can utilize email marketing, phone call recording which is perfect for management when training reps so you can over calls and offer constructive criticism. The scheduler functionality will list your tasks and meetings which can be filtered in a few way such as by month, week or day. And these events are connected with a link to your contact profile page. The user interface is quite user friendly considering the vast amount of functionality in your dashboard. There is drag and drop technology available for a lot of features which is always easier than the alternative. I like the email marketing automation in particular. It's easy to create triggered event based campaigns and conditional logic based follow ups where certain responses are trigger by certain actions that people take on your website, sign up form or several other ways so you can create complex but highly targeted campaigns easily. The amount of email contacts provided in your paid plans is actually a bit higher than most other email marketing software solutions in the market. With the base email marketing currently as a $9 per month upgrade with five hundred email contacts allowed where I've found the norm to be about three hundred for more money and not including a CRM too, that's good value. Pricing for this system is reasonable with a huge ROI possible. If you take action with the lead generation functionality in your phone call recording and email marketing module together combined with the amazing organization possible in your contact database you have everything you need to run a successful sales campaign. There is a free trial available with no credit card required for both the CRM and email marketing component; which is enabled seamlessly from inside your CRM trial account. I've not had any reason to contact customer support as of yet but one of the reasons I like BigContacts is that in my research their customer support was rated very highly right across the board.

What would you change about your experience with BigContacts?

I don't see the ability to delete mass contacts. Perhaps it is there and I am just not seeing it yet. Also, when importing contacts it would be nice to check against the current contacts and update their information with an addendum or another version at least would save time. The reporting seems a bit challenging to use nothing too major but just a bit more confusing than it needs to be. It seems to me the email marketing component should be included in the monthly cost for at least the basic version. When you are on the BigContacts website home page and you read All-In-One CRM & Email Marketing Platform one tends to think that's their basic inclusive offer.

Overall Feedback

The marketing automation combined with good flexibility and control available inside your relatively simple CRM make BigContacts a very good tool for any small to medium size business. The email marketing upgrade is definitely worth the additional cost if you take action with it. Together these tools can be the core of your sales pipeline. The call recording feature is another reason to consider this platform too.
