They were listed in the Better Business Bureau without any complaints over the previous three years which helped my trust in their services up front. They were Google Partner certified which was a good indicator of their expertise. I'm glad they had a code of ethics with a commitment to whitehat search engine optimization. There were several very positive client testimonials on their website. While they state they believe it's poor form to state their client's website on their site but don't provide a reason other than this. I believe they should provide a more in depth reason to balance the lack of transparency compared to their competition. And they state recently ranking for incredibly difficult one and two word keyword phrases on the same page. They are the only company out of several dozen I've looked into to claim first page results for such tough keyword phrases and I want to believe them because that would be amazing. However, the lack of context and transparency mentioned in my earlier point add up to look like other sites which may be falsifying their authority. Though I do acknowledge this company provides much more credibility in other ways so I was inclined to believe them. There were several impressive reviews available externally of their website which I appreciated. They maintain a long-standing blog which indicates they are staying on the leading edge of knowledge in their industry.

This company passed all of my presales criteria up front which was quite rare during my research. I wish they stated what they meant by the word recently in regard to ranking on the first page of search engines for such highly competitive keywords, and which search engines they meant.
