What was the best part about using Base?

Base CRM is comprehensive Customer Relations Management software with a free 14 day trial and three paid monthly options. Base is very intuitive. A lot of the set up is available right from start without a lot of extra set up. The design itself is intuitive as well. No need to going hunting for information as you are easily in control within the available dashboard. The dashboard can also be customized. I love ability to link to email this is a key feature and makes a big difference when choosing a CRM. It asks you why a deal was lost and adds the ability too add keyword tags. This is important as tracking deals and noting where effort needs to be improved can easily be noted. Making it possible to view tags from leads within groups and dig into that data. Makes it possible to identify what's working best and scale up these efforts while limiting less optimal approaches. I like that Base CRM is simple to use as a robust tool with many features. The flexibility to add custom fields, custom users is important and they are continually updating their software. The mobile app works great and would be indispensable when not at the computer. It's easy to log activity and track it. As well as make calls from directly inside the account and record them. This is awesome for training reasons as well as holding sales reps accountable. I like the ability to use geo tags and product model tags for quick searches with lots of common tags. Base provides the ability to update your sales pipeline stages to suit your own workflow. Custom fields can be set up inside pipelines to allow filtering of almost any data. And email tasks sent to your email box include the number which will activate via mobile from the link which is very practical. Base also allows you to input contact details from LinkedIn if you install the correct widget which saves time from doing data entry and is usually more up to date.

What would you change about your experience with Base?

Perhaps Base could scrape contact details from email contacts that would save even more time. I would like to see the reporting be a bit more customized with the criteria being used to create the reports. When importing and merging spreadsheet data duplicate fields are created rather than one field that is truly merged. And the ability to update fields after creating them would be nice too.

Overall Feedback

Base is worth completing the trial, importing some data and getting in touch with tech support. By all accounts the support is excellent though. The tagging system is very powerful in Base along with the integration to LinkedIn. These two features differentiate it from others as I'm getting to know CRM's on the market. Base saves time building an email list and tracking prospects. It integrates with MailChimp which is nice for transferring new prospects into your sales pipeline automatically. Tracking sales reps activity in Base is great. Being able to record calls made is an excellent idea we could utilize for training and management purposes. The VOIP rates are reasonable. Worth the trial experience to learn if it's a fit for you.
