AutoCAD LT

AutoCAD LT is their 2D computer assisted design software which helps you with floor plans, construction layouts and other designs which can be as complex as you could ever want them to be in two dimensions. The pricing of AutoCAD LT is slightly more cost effective than the full blown version of AutoCAD currently. It's a whole lot easier to use this software compared to it's big brother. I like it quite a lot. Of course anyone who is remotely proficient with the full version will most likely find this version to be less than useful and not worth much to them at all. But for someone such as myself preparing to design a floor plan for my future home it may be exactly what I need. And it's an industry authority company even thought it's not their flagship version of their software. And with a lot of other users comes the ability to collaborate with others easier so I look forward to having a serious expert guide me should I need it as this company has a large and active userbase and community to draw valuable advice from. I'm confident you could get hands on help to freely with the right person and remote desktop management software. I like that there is a stripped down version for just 2D drawings. AutoCAD is enormously complex and powerful to the point it's completely overwhelming if you've never used it before with any sort of deadline on the horizon. There are much simpler CAD software for 3D as well in my opinion. You can now do command line searching. And the autocorrect options have been improved so that's great because this feature nowadays in a few different software types including CAD besides text editing software helps out a lot. Your so much more productive with the ability consistently save a few seconds here and there as it minimizes your errors and speeds up your workflow. I like how you can utilize file exchange, underlaying, live mapping, printing or publishing and logo imports in a seamless process including palettes, commands and blocks which are dynamic. It may be a faster program to use for your 2D only projects if you're consistently doing both it's something to consider. If it's your choice for drawings no matter what.

Even though it has no 3D capabilities going on it's still quite a large download at almost six gigabytes. Ensure you have enough resources available to use it plus the storage it takes to store your designs for the long term. I like that you can purchase it for a month if you only need it short term. I think the perpetual license is a bit pricey at almost $1400 but they are discontinuing this soon. Leaving one, two and three year subscriptions for $360 per year available. I wonder if this will be updated further it didn't say much regarding how this change will ultimately affect the other pricing that I read anyhow.

There are a lot of industries which could find a lot of value with this software such as architectural, engineering, structural and civil and they have these palettes available for you if you are which is pretty cool. That's a big time saving feature with a lot of your customization done for you. Though I do understand that the overall customization is not even close to the full configuration and customization in the bigger version and other tools in the market. I like the amount of functionality in your account despite there being no 3D capabilities. It's still has loads of versatility and control doing what it does best.
