Basecamp works like a shared space with people you work with and with individual tools you help each other out . With it's "unique mix of six" feature you can easily finish tasks together or you can use it as a communication platform too . It is like the father of task manager .

It is non-customizable unlike other programs that you usually use or see .Limited budget , time , and accounting features . They have no integrated time-tracking so you will need to use or download a 3rd party software for it so you can measure the effectiveness of an online contractor based team . Other than that i see no problems in it .

Overall functionality is pretty nice . Simple yet useful user interface . A lot has changed from the original Basecamp but it still does not force you to pay right away . Money and time-wise i would recommend others to use Basecamp so do not wonder why it is popular . They support mobile devices too .
