Apple Calendar

Apple Calendar is integrated right into your iCloud account and is accessible on basically any device that you have internet connection. It makes life easier because I can schedule items and events that I need to take care of daily, monthly or yearly and be reminded ongoing with a alerts sent to your iCloud account and pushed to your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or Mac laptop. The calendar app works on my Windows based laptop too which is cool in that it's cross platform. It's very simple to add events and make changes to your calendar. Just enter the date and double click where you are presented with a variety of options to set the duration of the event, leave a note, attach a link, invite others to the event, add one or multiple alert reminders or link to a URL. It all couldn't be easier to do. You can add multiple emails addresses to your iCloud account which is nice. All of the emails calendars sync to my iPhone so it's easy to differentiate projects inside the calendar area. You can share and combine calendars with other who have an Apple iCloud ID which can help coordinate schedules and prevent any unnecessary miscommunication. You can schedule recurring events with single and multiple reminders too which is cool. There's a lot of resources and help available for the app online in the Apple community directly, or externally via third party video tutorials on Youtube and on related forums, tech and gadget based site and so forth. Changes are also updated in your Microsoft Outlook email calendar which is great. If you've checked out the latest version of Outlook it's great and it's direct connection my iPhone calendar is an amazing feature you may not have imagined would become possible perhaps even just ten years ago.

There is a setup involved with iCloud before using the calendar tool. It's not the most obvious thing in the world either. Perhaps because the Apple minimalist approach is so simple it's not always the most intuitive to learn in my opinion, but it's always super easy once you do. It's great you can share your calendars too but it's only possible as far as I know between iPhone users which doesn't help me much at the moment as the crew I roll with are mostly using Android at the moment. Not all, but most. Apple service can take quite a while to get through to, but most issues can be found solved somewhere else online. Though there a lot of resources and tutorials on their site, too.

It's great not having to enter your event more than once and sync it across all of my devices including my Windows based laptop and in my Microsoft Outlook account. It's all right there from wherever I enter the event; sometimes from my iPhone and other times from my email account. The convenience factor and the preventative security measures it allows you to take by being prepared for events and having multiple reminders scheduled based around milestones and ultimately meeting a deadline.
