Versa Marketing

This was a company I had contacted recently to learn more information about their affiliate marketing service for our ecommerce based start up in Canada which was referred by a popular digital marketing company review site online. I liked that they only offered affiliate marketing and management services showing a stronger core competency than most of the other companies I researched. There were solid affiliate marketing case study overviews showing the benefits of outsourcing your affiliate program through them which I appreciated seeing. They had a strong client base with a couple of brands which I recognized to help their credibility from a prospects point of view. There were a couple of strong testimonials available from clients on their site which was good to see. They laid out their process and methodology well on their website which gave me a much better idea of how their affiliate marketing approach works prior to contacting them and I appreciated this. They had a blog with some valuable content on it as well which was great to learn from but also showed their current knowledge in their industry. Posts were not as current I would like to see but perhaps it is not as much of a factor as a company offering search engine optimization or content marketing for example. SEO changes so much I like to see current knowledge by companies. And content marketing companies with outdated blogs doesn't speak well to their success leading by example, simply to qualify this opinion a bit further.

I wasn't able to find this company in the Better Business Bureau which is the quickest way to facilitate trust immediately to prospects in my opinion. There was a Versa Marketing there but it was a private label food marketing company unless I was mistaken. I was unable to find positive reviews from clients available elsewhere online to help verify credibility.

I learned a lot about affiliate marketing potential for our business just by researching this company which was great. A couple of light bulbs went off so to speak prior to contacting them so I was looking forward to a getting in touch in order to learn more from a representative directly. Unfortunately I did not receive a response from them at all unless I am mistaken. Though I have listened to all voicemails since as well as double checked my email account for this company with no luck. Perhaps we were not the best fit as we are a startup company and that makes sense now that I know more. But a courtesy response would help their word of mouth marketing in my opinion if that was the case. That being said, there was a lot to learn from them which I appreciated. And if you get ahold of them they very well may help your business growth online.
