Adobe Captivate

Multi state objects is one of the new features in Adobe Captivate 9 that I really like. It allows you to define various states for an object and then switch between these states based on user interaction, advanced actions and so on. This is an excellent tool for video production and video editing. Need to create interactive materials, great for scenario based training. New drag and drop capability is awesome, can do simple training or complex training. When you have a lot of data in various forms and need to put together a demo quickly.

Difficult to learn, not a super user-friendly interface. But if you're familiar with Adobe products you should have a smoother transition. There are just so many settings and menus and options it's difficult to learn from a layman's standpoint. I find that communicating these settings to my team can often be difficult. Because there are so many settings, it is often difficult to determine which settings should be used in certain circumstances to optimize my recording for a particular situation.

Adobe Captivate is a rapid responsive authoring tool that is used for creating e learning contents such as software demonstrations, software simulations, branched scenarios, and randomized quizzes in Small Web Formats and HTML5 formats. It can also convert Adobe Captivate generated files formats to digital MP4 formats which can be played with media players or uploaded to video hosting websites.
